Description

Departure from Catania towards Pantalica, the largest prehistoric necropolis in Europe.

Visit of the Byzantine village, its ancient houses and the remains of a church.

Visit of a 270 metres long cave, which hosts a colony of bats.

Visit of the Anaktoron, the remains of a megalithic building of the XII century b. C., from which is possible to observe the caves.

Stop to have rest and bathe surrounded by the nature.

Visit of Palazzolo Acreide, where we will see the preparation of the typical “salsiccia”, a Slow Food Presidium product.

Lunch with a selection of typical cheese, cold cuts, and grilled meat.

Visit of the Baroque village of Palazzolo Acreide.
